Listed below are some Practice
Mind Maps and a sample mind
map for you to try out yourself. Why not give it a go!
- Planning a Special Event
Put your thoughts to paper and plan a special
event.
It might be for your birthday or for someone else. Begin with the subject in
the centre, followed by the main areas that you will need to cover for the special
event.
Displayed to the right of the page is an example of a 50th birthday party
being planned. The 1st mind map shows the main areas that will need to be covered.
The 2nd mind map is the complete plan for the party.
- Making Decisions
Create a mind map about a decision that needs to
be made.
It might be related to school whereby you are deciding on what subjects to choose
from or what college or university to attend to.
- Making Notes
Use a mind map to make notes for an upcoming exam or assessment
task. Begin with the topic in the middle and then add major branches that will
reflect the areas to be covered.
- Brainstorming
Use a mind map to brainstorm ideas. Choose a topic of interest
to you and place it in the centre. Then from the keyword think of as many ideas
as you can related to your chosen topic.
